Baby Chantenay Cascade F1 Carrot Seeds produce a reliable, high quality, deliciously sweet 'Chantenay' type carrot, ideal for baby carrots. They are a tasty root that resists running to seed and store very well. They are also an excellent source of vitamin A and antioxidants.

Sow Outdoors

Sow thinly where thay are to crop, 1.5cm (½")deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm (1') between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly from the row, allowing the remainder to grow on. Water well until the plants are established. Regular sowings amde every three weeks will ensure a continuous supply of young carrots. Baby carrots are best lifted when 5cm (2") long, mature roots can be lifted in autumn. Remove soil and store in dry sand.

Harvest: June to November.
