These Wooden Cold Frames are built to the traditional design but have much safer twin-wall polycarbonate glazing, which incidentially keeps the plants much warmer than glass.
They are manufacturered from solid timber and feature a hinged lid with locking stays for daytime ventilation.
The Wooden Cold Frame does require some simple construction and is despatched flat-packed.

Aluminium Cold Frame

The Aluminium Cold Frame provides a large growing area to harden-off plants or keep the worst of the weather off tender plants. It is also ideal for early sowings, cuttings and over-wintering plants.
It is made of a rot-proof aluminium frame and glazed with insulating twin-wall polycarbonate glazing. It has a sliding roof section complete with ventilation catches.
The Aluminium Cold Frame does require some simple construction and is despatched flat-packed. It comes complete with securing pegs.
