There are generally two different types of garden rakes, the Soil Rake and the Lawn Rake. The Soil Rake is used to level and break up the soil surface before planting and for gathering garden debris. The Lawn rake is generally used on lawns to remove dead grass and moss but can also be used of the collection of leaves.
There is third type of rake, namely the Leaf Rake. This is similiar to the Lawn rake but has been specially designed to deal with troublesome leaves, particularly the autumnal fall. They generally have large plastic, flexible heads and make light work of creating piles of leaves.
We stock a good range of Garden Rakes from many of the UK's leading garden tools manufacturers, including Spear & Jackson, Wilkinson Sword and Fiskars. You will find garden rakes made in the traditional manner, with wooden shafts and carbon steel heads, to the more modern variety with lightweight aluminium shafts and stainless steel heads.
