Jute Vegetable Sacks are indispensable for anyone who grows their own vegetables.

The Vegetable Sack is overprinted with the names of popular root vegetables that are suitable for storage; potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips, swedes, beetroot.

Made from 100% biodegradable vegetable fibres and dyes.

Dimensions: Height: 2' 3" (70cm), Width: 1' 4" (40cm).

How to Grow Onion Sets

Site:

Choose an open sunny site preferably with some shelter from strong winds. On heavy soils or sites prone to waterlogging, plant on a slightly raised bed.

Plant:

Plant March-April 10cm (4in) between bulbs, 30-40cm (12-16in) between rows. Prepare the soil and remove any weeds. Remove any long 'tails' and plant the bulbs so that only the tip is protruding above the soil, so that birds are less likely to uproot them. Water the soil if necessary until the plants are established.

Harvest and Storage:

Lift when foliage turns yellow and allow to dry out before storing in a frost free place in trays or nets.
