Plant Propagators

A range of soil warming cables from Parasene. The soil warming cables are ideal for the creating bespoke hot benches for the propagation of plants and cuttings. Cables are available in 10, 20, 40 and 80 feet lengths. Soil warming cables are then attached to a thermostat to give precise temperature control.

Heat Mats are a great aid to plant propagation and cuttings, both increasing the chances of success and allowing earlier sowing and growing of plants. They can be used to greatly extend the growing season and provide a gentle, well-distributed heat source.

Heat Mats can be used on their own or can be combined with a thermostat to provide precise temperature control. We currently stock three different sizes of Rootit Heat Mats and all provide a uniform heat which helps to speed up germination. The mats have a network of small wires, which are fully waterproof and fray-proof, and deliver the durability to withstand rugged greenhouse environments.

Heat Mats are extremely economical to run, using very little electricity.

Peat pellets are a great way to start off seedlings and, in particular, cuttings. Once established plants can be planted out with the very minimum root disturbance. Peat pellets are simply watered and then planted in. The propagtors come complete with pellets. Peat pellets are also available as seperate refills.
