The Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Scythette, 4752SS, is a great garden tool absolutely perfect for tackling long, overgrown grass. It's size and lightweight design makes it particularly useful for cutting long grass under trees and shrubs and where lawnmowers can't reach.

The Razorsharp Scythette has a very sharp 12" (305mm) blade, which can be readily sharpened and replaced if necessary. The tubular steel handle is strong, yet lightweight, and is capped with a PVC grip, for increased comfort and control. The balde is replaceable and for safety reasons does not come attached to the scythe. It is simply, and securely, secured in place through the use of two bolts. A screwdriver and spanner is required for tis assembly, which will take no more than 2 minutes.

Perhaps the best feature of the Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Scythette is its weight and size. It can be easily used by anyone and unlike some scythes is not heavy, but relies on the blade sharpness for cutting. This means that a lot less effort is used and this tool can be used for considerably longer than heavier models.

The Spear & Jackson Grass Hook & Scythette Spare Blade, 4732SY, is designed to fit both the Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Scythette, 4752SS, and the Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Little Giant Grass Hook, 4731SL.

This Spare Blade is 12" (305mm) long, extremely sharp and simply bolts onto either the Scythette or Grass Hooks, shown above.

The Spear and Jackson Grass Hook & Scythette Spare Blade can be resharpened at anytine, with a blade sharpener.
