Potatoes can be grown just about anywhere and are probably one of the easiest and most rewarding vegetable crop that can be home grown. Seed Potatoes can be grown in the traditional vegetable bed, in pots or potato sacks on the patio or used to clear ground for future crops.

Onion Sets make growing onions very easy and a successful crop can be achieved year on year. Onion sets are tiny immature bulbs and are simply planted up, kept weed free and watered during dry months. We stock the Unwins brand of onion sets and offer both red and white onions.

Shallots are extremely easy to grow and produce great results for very little effort. With a much milder taste than onions shallots are great for adding a subtle onion flavour to all types of cooking.

Garlic is probably one of the easiest, and least demanding, herb that can be grown at home. Our quality garlic bulbs, from Unwins, can be sown either in the autumn or spring to produce good sized bulbs. Bulbs can be harvested when the foliage turns yellow and drys out in the summer. Bulbs can also be harvested almost as and when required.
