Tomato Culture Pots

The Plant Halos, G167, are made by Garland and are designed to aid the growing of not just tomatoes, but also peppers and beans. Plant Halos can be used on grow bags, plant pots (with a diameter of 26cm and above), raised beds, as well as on traditional vegetable plots.

The Plant Halo central inner pot creates the planting area which is particularly useful when used with grow bags, as it allows a deeper planting zone to develop healthier plants. A 3 Litre outer 'moat' features six 2.8cm watering spikes which penetrate below the surface, delivering water direct to the plant's roots. This ensures that water and liquid feed are delivered at a reduced rate that the plant is better able to absorb, minimising wastage. It typically takes between 3 and 6 hours for the reservoir to drain fully, depending on the weather and soil conditions.

Plant Halos also feature a unique cane support system. There are 3 anchor slots that surround the the inner pot and provide the means for a rigid, wind resistant structure using bamboo canes (not included). A cane grip cap is also included and allows up to 4 canes to be joined at the top of the resulting structure. They are made from tough UV stabilised, recycled dark green plastic.

These Tomato Ring Culture Pots are a great way to maximum yields from tomato plants. Ring Culture Pots are bottomless plant pots that are placed over small tomato plants and filled with compost. They are then fed and watered through the Culture Rings. New roots develop in the Culture Rings and help produce even higher yields. Tomato Culture Pots have been traditionally used with grow bags for many years.
