Brussels Sprouts 'Nelson' F1 is an extremely reliable early variety with very good, sweet flavour. Produces a strong plant with well-spaced, uniform, bright green buttons and good resistance to lodging.

When to plant outdoors: March - April
How to grow outdoors: Sow thinly 0.5in (1.5cm) deep in a seed bed. Keep soil moist. Transplant May-June, spacing 2ft (60cm) apart. Plant firmly to produce best quality buttons and water well until established. To harvest, start at the bottom, and pick a few prouts from each of the plants. When all the sprouts have been picked, the leafy tops of the plants can be cut off and cooked like cabbage.
