Coir compost for potting and bedding plants. This peat free growing medium from Sinclair makes a good potting compost for pot plants and hanging baskets. Also suitable as a general-purpose compost for bed and borders and vegetable patches. Coir is not ideal for acid loving or lime hating plants. It provides a loose friable structure with good drainage.
Using coir compost
Use coir compost for planting salad vegetables into trays and pots or into raised beds in the vegetable garden. Coir compost is ideal for hanging baskets as it is free flowing and holds water well. These properties also make it ideal for indoor house plants.
